We just spent 4 months apart and went through a huge collective trauma: COVID-19, police murders of Black people, and a national uprising. We have all been affected. Now we must return to school, whether virtually, in person, or a hybrid. It’s time to heal and connect. It’s time for relationships before rigor and connection before content.
Dates: Two consecutive Saturdays, August 15 & August 22, 2020
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Pacific/12:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern (U.S.) each day
Join equity facilitators Shane Safir, Alcine Mumby, and myself for this dynamic institute. You’ll unpack your own identity, engage in deep listening, and design an antiracist plan for returning to school.
Participants will dig into critical equity questions: What is my identity, power, and privilege as a leader, and who do I need to be right now, for my community? How can I heal from the pain of this moment to lead in powerful ways? What would it look like to return to school with a commitment to antiracism and liberation?
Pricing: $250 per person/$200 per person for team of 4+
